We got tired of asking Facebook for a swim coach
PickzIt started with one very ordinary problem — and turned into a better way to find real services in Cyprus.
How it used to go
Need an English tutor, a dance class for your daughter, a photographer, or someone for speech therapy? For most of us in Cyprus, that meant one thing: posting in a local Facebook group and waiting.
You’d write out what you needed, hit post, and refresh the page for comments. A few replies were useful. Most weren’t. You’d end up messaging four or five people separately, hoping enough of them actually got back to you, and trying to keep track of who charged what and who was even available — all from memory, across five different Messenger threads.
There was no way to see everyone who offered that service at once, side by side, with the same information. Just whoever happened to scroll past your post that day.
