Welcome to PickzIt (“PickzIt”, “we”, “us”, “our”). PickzIt is an online directory and marketplace that helps people in Cyprus search for, compare, and get in touch with local service providers (for example, tutors, coaches, therapists, and other professionals). By accessing or using pickz-it.com (the “Platform”), creating an account, or submitting a listing, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. What PickzIt Is — and Isn’t
PickzIt is a directory platform. We provide the tools for service providers to list their services and for customers to search, compare, and message providers directly. We are not a party to any agreement, booking, or transaction made between a customer and a provider, and we do not employ, supervise, or control any listed provider. Any service actually delivered is solely between the customer and the provider, under whatever terms they agree between themselves.
2. Accounts
To list a service or use certain features, you may need to register an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep it up to date;
- Keep your login details confidential and be responsible for all activity under your account;
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account;
- Be at least 18 years old, or have the involvement of a parent or guardian where required.
We may suspend or close an account that provides false information, breaches these Terms, or is used in a way that could harm PickzIt, other users, or third parties.
3. Listings and Service Providers
If you list a service on PickzIt, you are responsible for the accuracy of your listing, including your category, description, pricing, availability, and any qualifications or credentials you state. You confirm that you:
- Hold any licence, qualification, insurance, or permit required by Cypriot law to offer the service you list;
- Will not list services that are illegal, unsafe, or misleading;
- Are responsible for how you deliver your service and for complying with all applicable laws, including consumer protection, health and safety, and tax obligations;
- Give us permission to display your listing content (text, images, and category information) on the Platform.
We may review, edit, decline, or remove a listing at any time — for example, if it appears to breach these Terms, is placed in the wrong category, or is reported by another user.
4. Acceptable Use
When using PickzIt, you agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, defamatory, or offensive content;
- Impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- Use the Platform to spam, harass, or send unsolicited commercial messages to other users;
- Scrape, copy, or reuse listing data or other users’ content without permission;
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its systems.
5. Messaging and Contact Between Users
PickzIt allows customers to message providers directly through the Platform. Any arrangement, quote, booking, payment, or agreement you reach through these messages is between you and the other user. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the Platform, and we recommend using reasonable care — such as verifying credentials and meeting in appropriate settings — before engaging a provider.
6. Fees
Browsing and searching the Platform is free for customers. Any fees that apply to providers for listing or promoting a service will be clearly shown before you incur them. We may change our fees from time to time by posting updated pricing on the Platform.
7. Intellectual Property
The PickzIt name, logo, and the design and code of the Platform belong to us and may not be copied or used without our permission. You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as your listing text and images), but by posting it you grant PickzIt a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and promote that content on the Platform and in our marketing.
8. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that listings are accurate, complete, or up to date, and we do not vet, endorse, or guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any listed service. We make no warranty that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PickzIt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any dispute, loss, or damage arising from a service arranged between a customer and a provider through the Platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Cypriot law, such as liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Platform, other users, or third parties.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform or for legal reasons. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continuing to use the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and any dispute relating to them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus.
